Thursday 24th April

• At 14.00: Scientific congress “Wine and Health” – at the Exhibitive and Congress Centre in Alba (Piazza Medford) dedicated to doctors of General Medicine, Nutritionists and Gastroenterologists, promoted by the National Observatory of Awareness Consumption of Wine “Wine and Health”, with the patronage of the Polyclinic Foundation from Monza.

Friday 25th April – A Preview day

• At 10.30: Alba – a congress regarding “The wines of Langa and Roero in the Piedmont system” promoted by the Municipality of Alba with the Consortium of Barolo, Barbaresco and the Regional Enoteche.
• At 11.00: Opening of Vinum’s Piazzas and the thematic Enoteche: with the personal participation of the exhibitive producers, allocated in the various Piazzas.
• At 12.00-15.00-18.00: Guided wine-tasting (by reservation only) dedicated to the grand wines, protagonists of the venue.
• At 19.00: Closure of the exhibitive Pavilions.

Saturday 26th April

• Alba – a promotional event regarding Dolcetto wine (with all the Piedmontese denominations), in collaboration with the Consortium of Barolo and Barbaresco.
• At 11.00: Opening of Vinum’s Piazzas and thematic Enoteche: with the personal participation of the exhibitive producers, allocated in the various Piazzas.
• At 15.00-17.30: Guided wine-tasting (by reservation only) dedicated to Dolcetto wine.
• At 19.00: Closure of the exhibitive Pavilions.

Sunday 27th April

• The Regional Enoteche from Langa and Roero: the five Regional Enoteche will each promote a series of contemporary events that will animate the entire territory, inviting the public to travel among the hillsides.
• At 11.00: Opening of Vinum’s Piazzas and thematic Enoteche: with the personal participation of the exhibitive producers, allocated in the various Piazzas
• At 11.00-19.00: at the Sociale Theatre in Alba –Tasting of over 200 wines from an Italian autochthonous vine, chosen in the volume by Francesco Falcone, for the Go Wine Editor, entitled “Autochthonous we’re born…”.
• At 12.00-15.00-18.00: Guided wine-tasting (by reservation only) dedicated to the grand wines, protagonists of the venue.
• At 19.00: Closure of the exhibitive Pavilions.

From Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th May (The Wine Show)

Thursday 1st May

• At 10,30: at the Consiliare Room of the Municipality in Alba, Inaugural Convention for Vinum 2008. Research on Italian Wine-Tourism: how each year, Vinum proposes itself of becoming a reference point for the evolution of wine-tourism in Italy, gathering previsions and spirits, at the start of a long 2008 season.
• At 11.00: Opening of Vinum’s Piazzas and thematic Enoteche: with the personal participation of the exhibitive producers, allocated in the various Piazzas.
• At 12.00-15.00-18.00: guided wine-tasting (a reservation is required) dedicated to the grand wines, protagonists of the venue.
• At 15.00 -18.00: at the Sociale Theatre: “Up with the Curtains” - Barolo and Barbaresco on stage.
• At 19.00: Closure of the exhibitive Pavilions.

Friday 2nd May

• At 10.00: Municipality of Alba. Meeting with the delegation of Chateauneuf du Pape, Vinum’s Guest of honour.
• “The Open Wine-cellars of Vinum”: the Langa and Roero producers (exhibitors at the event on the 1st -3rd -4th May) will open their wine cellars to the public during Friday 2nd May, inviting wine tourists to come, visit and walk among the hillsides of these wonderful lands, the Langa and Roero. .
• At 11.00: Opening of Vinum’s Piazzas and thematic Enoteche: with the personal participation of the exhibitive producers, allocated in the various Piazzas.
• At 12.00-15.00-18.00: Guided wine-tasting (a reservation is required) dedicated to the grand wines, protagonists of the venue.
• At 19.00: Closure of the exhibitive Pavilions.

Saturday 3rd May

• At 11.00: Opening of Vinum’s Piazzas and thematic Enoteche: with the personal participation of the exhibitive producers, allocated in the various Piazzas.
• At 12.00-15.00-18.00: Guided wine-tasting (a reservation is required) dedicated to the grand wines, protagonists of the venue.

Vinum's Piazzas

Now at its 32° edition, Vinum will take place from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th April, with in-depth studying moments dedicated to the Wines from Piedmont, and from Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th May, foresees the grand participation of producers from the Langa and Roero territories, of companies and realities of other Italian regions and foreign guests.

Please find listed below the “Piazzas” which will animate the venue:

• PIAZZA LANGHE and ROERO (Palazzetto dello Sport, Via Generale Dalla Chiesa)
1st-3rd-4th May In occasion of Vinum, a new building will be set up for the City to host the producers of Barolo, Barbaresco, Roero, Roero Arneis, Barbera d’Alba, Dolcetto (in the various denominations of Dolcetto d’Alba, Dolcetto of Diano d’Alba, Dolcetto of Dogliani), Moscato d’Asti and of the City of Alba.

• PIAZZA PIEMONTE (Palazzo Mostre e Congressi- Piazza Medford)
25th-26th-27th April and 1st-3rd-4th May An important pavilion will be set up at the entrance of the City of Alba , which will host the Piedmontese producers operative outside the Langa and Roero territories.

• PIAZZETTA ONAV (Palazzo Mostre e Congressi -Piazza Medford)
27th April Guided wine-tasting, lead by the Onav Association

• PIAZZETTA ASTI (Piazza Garibaldi)
25th -26th -27th April and 1st -2nd -3rd -4th May Tasting of Asti DOCG, lead by the Consortium for the Safeguard of Asti.

• THE 12 REGIONAL ENOTECHE from PIEDMONT (Piazza San Francesco)
25th -26th -27th April and 1st -2nd -3rd -4th May Tasting of wines from the local territory, represented by the Regional Enoteche.

• EVENTS at the THEATRE (Sociale Theatre)
26th -27th April and 1st -4th May 26th April

• From 11.00am until 19.00: Enoteca del Dolcetto of Piemonte (Foyer) : tasting of a an exclusive selection of Dolcetto wines, in the various denominations from the Piedmont region.
• At 15.00 and 17.30: A guided tasting of 7 Dolcetto wines (on stage in the Sala Storica).
  27th April
• From 11.00am until 19.00: Tasting of over 200 wines from Italian autochthonous vines, selected in the volume by Francesco Falcone for the Go Wine Editor entitled “Autochthonous we’re born” .

From 1st to 4th May

• At 12.00-15.00-18.00: “Up with the Drop-Curtains” - Barolo and Barbaresco on stage: exclusive tastings, inside the Historic Room, where the leading characters will be the most important producers of Barolo and Barbaresco wines, that have carried and made famous these denominations throughout the world, along with of course their land of production (see calendar on page..)

1st -3rd – 4th May

• From 11.00am until 19.00: The producers from the “Historic Trademarks” section of Barolo and Barbaresco will promote their wines through tastings (Foyer).

•MOSCATO & CO. (Piazza Duomo)
25th-26th-27th April and 1st-2nd-3rd-4th May Tasting of Moscato d’Asti, lead by the Producers of Moscato d’Asti Associati, accompanied by a selection of typical local products. Motorcar exhibition.

• PIAZZA MONDO : CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE (Piazza Duomo)
2nd-3rd-4th May A delegation of French producers from Chateauneuf du Pape, will meet the public and propose a tasting of their wine, one of the most renown denominations of origin known all over the world, and one of the most authoritative in the south of France.

• PIAZZA ITALIA: COLOURS, FRAGRANCES, FLAVOURS from IMPERIA (Piazza Duomo)
25th-26th-27th April Exhibition, Tastings and Work Shop, taken care of by the special promotion company from the CCIAA of Imperia.

• PIAZZA ITALIA (Piazza Duomo)
1st-2nd-3rd-4th May Tasting of wines from Italian producers wines, whom have participated at the venue, and will be personally present to run their tasting banquets.

• PIAZZA ITALIA: THE ENOTECA OF ITALY at VINUM (Piazza Rossetti)
25th-26th-27th April and 1st-2nd-3rd-4th May Tasting of Italian producers wine, that have joined the event, but will not be personally present.

• THE GRAND ENOTECA of LANGA and ROERO (Cortile della Maddalena)
25th-26th-27th April and 1st-2nd-3rd-4th May Tasting of wines offered by the producers from the Langhe and Roero territories, whom have joined the event, but will not be personally present.

• THE GUIDED TASTINGS Mozart Room and Rossini Room (Piazza Falcone)
