IN-DEPTH STUDY: THE SOAVE of the CRU
There are landscapes which are difficult to describe with words, and worth more than any man that has photographed of them. They fascinate us as they seem to stand untouched in time, and have challenged the rules of urbanization, of industries, and of presumed modernity. Among Soave and Monteforte d’Alpone lies a world of secular vines, cultivated upon sweet hillsides of volcanic origin, brought up upon curious pegole, with the garganega, a valuable local grape, the undoubted protagonist. A COMPARISON OF TERROIRS:CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE and BAROLO
Barolo and Chateauneuf-du-Pape, and here there are no doubts: two grand “Lords” of worldwide wine challenge each other. Extraordinary denominations, spectacular vines, wines with an incredible high stylistics figure, engraved in the memories of the many tasters. The south of France on one side, and the north of Italy on the other. The grenache, impulsive and inconstant, tasty and fascinating, challenges the strong vigour of Nebbiolo and its esteemed austerity. Both wines, however, live in the of shadow next to a miracle, that changes in time and awards with a flash of absolute class.
