On the Stage

The idea of taking Barolo and Barbaresco to the theatre, started off on a warm afternoon in Autumn. Gigi Brozzoni, launched the idea, and Massimo Corrado accepted it without much hesitation. With only a few months left to go for the beginning of the new Vinum 2008, together with Francesco Falcone, they’re working on the calendar of events, a calendar which announces to be even more ambitious and fascinating. Let’s see what it’s all about. We have thought of “dressing” a grand theme of in-depth studying – a vertical tasting of a grand wine, an attractive programme for any keen enthusiast – with clothes from show-business, culture, novelties. We can truly define them “biographic tastings”: the stage will reward us with the story of a vine-dresser and his wines to be tasted – a vertical of the grandest vintages – we’ll reveal the identities behind the places of election.

This mixture may reveal to be an explosive combination: a catwalk of important names, impressive wines, grand vintages which will continuously alternate; unique oenological panoramas may be enjoyed: the angles will be different, but the observation point will always be privileged.

Gigi Brozzoni will be the director, who will try to guide the actors during each show: the wines, the vine-dressers, and the story behind each harvest. Together, they’ll have to exalt an audience of international enthusiasts, considering the reputation without boundaries…,of which these magnificent terroirs.

A show not to be missed.
