IN-DEPTH STUDY: CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE
Sweet, smooth plateaus covered in stones, as big as rugby balls, and as white as snow; contorted stumps, branched by vines, with large trunks and minute fruits; a stretch of never-ending vineyards that surround the ruins of the ancient papal castle. First class, sweet-smelling, warm, powerful, full-body wines, with a Grenache, the discreet protagonist, that holds dearest its concerned solo nature. Analysis of the terroir with the producers ‘ participation.
Tasting of eight Chateauneuf-du-Pape, lead by Francesco Falcone.

A COMPARISON OF TERROIR: FRANCIACORTA, TRENTO, OLTREPO PAVESE, ALTA LANGA. FINE BUBBLES TO THE MAGNIFYING GLASS.
We’re not just dealing with spumante wines, but a complete world of its own, made up of sweet-smelling fineness, unusual tasty fittings, and for these reasons particularly striking. Wines that put the taster in a continuous state of alert, as they don’t offer many reference points, but at best reveal to be complex, articulated, surprising. The grand Italian basins of Spumante: Franciacorta, Oltrepò, Trento and Alta Langa, all represent four terroirs of great importance, finally becoming appreciated by the enthusiasts, always richer in quality interpreters.
Tasting of nine impressive bubbles- guided by Francesco Falcone

Friday 2nd May at 18,00 – Mozart Room
A COMPARISON OF TERROIR: BAROLO 2004 and BARBARESCO 2004.
Barolo and Barbaresco: or rather nebbiolo. A vine in it’s most natural habitat, where it finds the perfect conditions to express, without compromising, its own personality. Stern and a bit rigid when young, winds in time its tannic energy and “communicates” slowly its immense, aromatic potential. Reading of the differences among the two denominations in a millesimal of reference.
Tasting of four 2004 Barolo and four 2004 Barbaresco wines 2004, guided by Massimo Zanichelli.
€ 20,00 - reductions € 15,00
